How To Get Rid Of The Bumps On My Forehead And Face?
I have bumps that are appearing on my forehead and face. They are not the normal acne I've experienced impost of my life ( cystic in nature) and not whiteheads or blackheads either. I'd like to attach a photo, but don't seem to be able to. I would like to find out how to get rid of the ones I already have, but mostly learn how to avoid them completely, please. I do use Proactive to care for my skin. Thank you.
For severe acne OR for acne unresponsive to traditional anti-acne medications, Isotretinoin can be started. It the only drug which offers any chance of long term cure and after a full course of isotretinoin significant number of people never have a recurrence of there acne. It should be taken under the supervision of a dermatologist because of certain lab tests which are to be done before and during treatment with isotretinoin.
Along with Isotretinoin, for inflammatory acne(papules and pustules) I usually advice my patients to start with an oral antibiotics like Azithromycin. The antibiotics can be continued for 4-12 weeks depending on the response.
Topical Antibacterials: Either clindamycin 1%/ benzoyl peroxide 2.5% can be used twice daily
I would advice you to see a dermatologist and get a prescription for antiacne medications.
regards
