Hi, Welcome to HCM. Jock itch is nothing but a fungal infection of skin. While the fungus got established all the layers of skin, external applications alone would not be sufficient for a total eradication of the fungus. Systemic anti-fungal antibiotics for a period of a month will eradicate the fungus and prevent relapse. If you are having Diabetes mallitus, it has to be controlled to get a better result. Avoid source of fresh infection by avoiding sharing your fomites with others and bathing in a common pool. Consult a dermatologist and get well soon. Dr S.Murugan
