Hello Doctor, Good Afternoon, am Neeraja, My problem is I have very thin legs, and am not sure whom to show my problem, am very healthy, and I believe it s hereditary, My mom used to have same thin legs which I have observed in my child hood, But It s effecting my day to day professional & personnel life, Every body is recognizing my thin legs, & I feel so guilt about it, No dress is suiting mee, Its suffering me a lot, My upper body looks big, Lower from the down of hip looks so thin, Even my husband keep insulting me on this, saying ur legs looks very thin & ugly, It s hurting me more and more, If I do dieting my legs will become thin, If I eat more my upper body become fat, My hands & legs parts are same, hands upper part is fat, from the elbow to fingers it s thin, Please suggest me on this. HI. Thanks for your query. Noted your history and concerns. You are a female patients with very thin legs. Although you are healthy the upper body parts are larger and the part below the hips look so thin, so much so that your husband also insults you. Your worry about eating less and getting the power parts becoming thinner and vise versa is agreed upon, but is worth trying, particularly eating less so that the upper part becomes thin, lower part may not become thinner as it is already is. The best part is that you know this is hereditary, hence easy to accept by you. Your self esteem must be maintained, it then does not matter who says what? Consult a General Surgeon or orthopedic Surgeon and undergo MRI of the spine; the power part may show some disease which may be responsible for this disproportionate growth of body.
