How To Get Rid Off From Stabbing Pain In Left Side Of My Head?

Hi I've been to my doctors this week as I have had a sharp stabbing pain in the left side of my head and it happens every couple of minutes and is very painful, when it happens the pain is that strong it makes me gasp and my head shake, it takes a split second and then goes. Now the left side of my scalp is sensitive to touch and my left eye is painful and it also affects my left ear and throat. The doctor said I have neuralgia, I have had the pain for 6 days now, how long will it take to pass? Thank you

Hi thanks for contacting HCM....

According to history yes it could be neuralgia like condition with cluster headache...

Your complete neurological examination should be done.
If needed short term steroid might given for relieving inflammation....

Meanwhile avoid stress....
Avoid smoking....

Investigate with CRP....

If you have no improvement Consult physician for physical examination and subsequent investigation.
