How To Get Rid The Bump After An Injury?

Hi , my niece bumped her head on the metal bed where she was holding on to it and she let go and hit her upper head . and the bump is really huge. everytime i go see her like today , i touched that spot , it was just like nothing there . is there a way to fix this problem?!
