How To Heal Bruising On Labial Frenulum Caused By Toothbrush Jamming Into Gums?

I was brushing my teeth about a week ago and I slipped off of my teeth and jammed the toothbrush into my gums above my upper row of teeth (right in the middle, near the labial frenulum). 2 or 3 days ago I noticed that I had a tiny cut on the top part of the labial frenulum. However, now the cut is closed, but there is bruising right next to it all the way around it. What to do?

Hi,
Thank you for the query.
It is due to the trauma caused by brush which had lead to ulceration .
Nothing to worry, you can apply mucopain gel or dentogel on the area affected.
Followed by betadine mouth rinses .
If you have pain you can take an analgesics to reduce pain.
Hope this information helps you.

Hi,
Welcome to the forum.
Depending on area involved it has to be treated.
You can apply betadine.
A course of antibiotic and analgesics should be taken.
Consult an oral surgeon .
I hope this is helpful to you.

hi and welcome,
It is a tooth brush trauma to the mucosa which may have irritated the tissue leading to ulceration.
There is nothing to worry about , you can apply oral antiseptic and analgesic ointment like dentogel or mucopain over the ulcerated area.
This will provide analgesic effect and heals the tissue.
Regular mouth rinsing with chlorhexidine will prevent any infection and will promote faster healing.
i hope this helps,
take care.

Dear friend.
Thanks for sharing your concern.

Do not worry it will heal on its own.

if the cut is very big only then you will have to visit your dentist and get it sutured.you are the best person to judge how big or small the cut is,based upon you can decide.

meanwhile do some symptomatic treatment like apply dologel locally so that it does not hurt you.

rest you will be fine soon.
hope it helps.

thanks.

take care.
