hELLO,
I WENT TO THE DOCTOR ON Monday FOR MY EAR. sHE SAID I HAVE AN EAR INFECTION AND GAVE ME aMOXICILLIAN. tHE SAME DAY MY EAR STARTED DRAINING CLEAR STICKY LIQUID.. I JUST FIGURED IT WAS DRAINING BECAUSE IT HAS BEEN CLOGGED. however, IT'S BEEN 4 DAYS ON THE ANTIBIOTIC AND MY EAR STILL HURTS. I HAVE PUSS AND BLOOD ON MY PILLOWW IN THE MORNING

I have gone through your query regarding infection of ear with draining mucoid discharge mixed with blood.

By co-relating your symptoms and development after taking antibiotic , it appears as you are having acute otitis media, the blood mixed mucoid discharge is probably coming out through a perforation in ear drum . To manage it you are taking antibiotic but you may add these to your treatment-

1- Steam inhalation.

2- Anti histaminic.

3- Decongestant.

4- Keep ear canal clean and dry by cotton swab.
