Hi,
First and foremost, WHAT catarrh remedies have you been using?!
Catarrh is a condition, the symptom being a feeling of fullness and block in the nose/ear(s)/throat. Most of the time, the problem is a simple
cold, or it could be a flu or even
allergy. Nowadays, medications such as Otrivin/
Nasivion nose drops/sprays are available over the counter to relieve 'catarrh'. These are usually taken by patients to relieve their symptoms but they should NEVER be used for more than three days (which the chemist/pharmacist doesn't tell you!). They can, if taken for longer, end up making the problem much worse than before.
Third, an organic lesion such as a deviated
nasal septum or polyps in the nose or any other mass can produce the same feelings of catarrh and would not be helped by the usual 'remedies' available in the medical shops. So my advice would be to check with an
ENT specialist before you take any more such formulations directly from the pharmacy.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
