How To Heal Large Pores, Black/white Heads On Chin And Nose Area?
I am 50 years old and I am getting black/white heads on my chin and nose area. My pores are getting bigger. I have a tendency to pick and peal my skin in these areas. My skin is now really dry and it peals easily. What can I do to heal my skin and get rid of my large pores/blackheads?
Hello, Thank you for posting on HCM. The black and white heads you are referring to are called senile comedones, which is pretty common in old age. Ideal treatment option would be a simple office based procedure called comedone extraction. Alternately, you can get then removed with help of radiofrequency cautery. Use a good cleanser like cetaphil cleanser to open up your clogged pores. Apply good moisturiser like Emolene cream as required for dry skin. For enlarged pores you can go for either of these procedures viz chemical peeling, microneedling or laser treatment. Hope this will take care of your issues. Thank you, Dr Hardik Pitroda
