How To Heel The Knot Formed Along With Pain After Hitting Head?

I BUMPED MY HEAD(LEFT SIDE HALF INCH ABOVE EYEBROW) ON THE EDGE OF MY CHESTER DRAWER. A KNOT DEVELOPED AFTER ABOUT 5 MINUTES, MY WHOLE HEAD HURTS AND THE LEFT SIDE OF MY FACE. MY MOTHER SAID I SHOULD NOT GO TO SLEEP RIGHT AWAY. WHAT DO I DO OR DON T DO??

Hi thanks for your question.
Relax and don't worry .The knot which you developed above your left eyebrow is called haematoma .It is due to collection of blood under the skin and muscle.Your head and face is hurting due to the injury which you have got.You can take Pain killesr for this like tablet ibuprofen or paracetamol.Do cold sponging of the swelling to reduce its size of haematoma.In case you feel sever headache,Nausea vomiting and giddiness, immediately report to ER,for CT scan head to rule out any bleeding inside you brain, chances of which are very very less but has to be ruled out in case you develop above mentioned symptoms.
