How To Improve Eating Habits Of 19 Months Old?

Hi, My 19 months old son keeps the food in his mouth for a long itme and just does not swallow. It takes 1 to 1.5 hours to make him eat half a bowl of food. I tried giving him variety of food. He eats the first few mouths very fast and thereafter stops eating. What can be done to improve his eating habits?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
Food fads are common in most children.
Patience and perseverence are important.
Feeding with tender loving care and spending more time for feeding and telling stories and singing folk songs will help.
Hope this answer will serve your purpose
Please feel free to ask any more queries if required
