How To Improve Weight And Appetite?

Hello, My name is Kamilah and I m 21 years old. About four months ago I was 140-150 lbs, Suddenly I lost my appetite and I started to lose weight. Now my weight stays in between 115 to 120 lbs, I was never this small. All of my clothes are loose on me. I ve tried eating more and eating fatty foods but I just will not gain my weight back. I even tried protein drinks. If i gain weight I ll just lose it again. A doctor check for thyroids and other tests, my results said I was healthy.I really need advice because I really I have a problem with they way I look, I can actually see my bones. I need my appetite back.

Hi,

The cause of inability to gain weight should be identified. Nutritional deficiency, chronic infections, malabsorption syndromes, parasitic infestations, hyperthyroidism should be ruled out. Stress and eating disorders should be ruled out. Mind relaxation techniques and counselling help in reducing stress.

The cause should be treated along with dietary changes. Protein powder along with milk can be twice a day. Adequate hydration is also essential. Healthy diet is foremost important for weight gain. Increase your daily protein intake to see good results. Calculate your daily protein requirement based on body weight. Increase pulses, beans, eggs, curd and meat in your diet.
