Hi,I am Neethu Vipin (Dietitian & Nutritionist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hello this is manasi pawar i am 21 years old n my height is 5 ft and before 2 months i have done my tonsils operation. i heard that height increases after doing this operation so is that true ? i want to increase my height it that possible ? if yes then please suggest me any medicin or exersize ?
I am sorry to say but a person's height cannot increase once his/her skeletal growth stops, which occurs at about 18-20 years of age. Once this age is passed, it is impossible to increase one's height. No medicines are effective. The ones you may have come across contain hormones which are likely to cause more harm than benefit. Kindly don't take them.
About height increasing after a tonsil operation - It is completely false. No such thing happens.
Hope your queries are answered. Feel free to ask if you have any doubts.
Wish you good health.
With regards, Dr. Sridhar
