Hi..
I appreciate to express your concerns about the low
hemoglobin level.
By seeing your hemoglobin level, you are having severe
iron deficiency in blood.
If I would have been your treating physician, I would have started injectable iron therapy apart from dietary guidance. First of all, your
kidney functions should be ruled out. If kidney function tests are normal in range I will recommend to start injectable iron sucrose therapy.
Try to follow following dietary guidelines for anaemia
1)Green leafy vegetables such as spinach, fenugreek, coriander and malabar spinach are a good source of iron as well as
folic acid.
2)Take meals with vitamin C containing fruits such as pomegranate, orange, lemon as it will enhance iron absorption
3) Avoid tea, coffee 1 hour before and after meal as they inhibit the iron absorption
Do check hemoglobin level every month.
Start on these changes and keep informing me about the hemoglobin level
Wishing you best of health
Regards
