How To Increase The Vitamin D And Vitamin B12 Levels In The Body?
Hi, I got my blood test done recently and found critically low vitamin d and vitamin b12. I am a non vegetarian and had taken an injection for Vitamin d 1 year back. But both the values for vitamin d and b12 are not going up. Please let me know what to do
Hello, I would be happy to give you a plan to deal with this as I am sure you must be feeling fatigued, irritible and aren't getting answers. Lets replete you first. Ask your Doctor if he can give you B12 injections for repletion while checking on any absorption issues. If he won't then go to the pharmacy and buy a sublingual form of B12 (meaning, put it under your tongue). B 12 is absorbed in the "terminal ileum" so we know where to look to see if there is a problem. 90% of people are low in vitamin D, so that is harder to pinpoint any correlations between the two deficiencies yet. With vitamin D, I suggest 5,000 IU per day for 3 months and then drop down to 1,000 mg. per day.One injection of vitamin D will not solve your problem. So, please try my suggestions.
