Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I m almost 2 days late for period. Had a d&e last yr at 9w5d. Did ovulation study n ovulated on 23rd (cycle of 26 days) Home pregnancy kit says negative. If I m pregnant and its still to show on the stick...what can I do to help the possible pregnacy.
Home pregnancy kits can show false negative or false positive results sometimes. Although it is too early for a urine pregnancy test to show positive results. I would suggest wait for at least 2-3 more weeks and then do the test again.
If the test comes negative and you do not get periods for next month then visit a gynecologist for further assistance. After careful physical examination and medical history, she can suggest an ultrasound abdomen or a blood test to further confirm the pregnancy.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Manisha Auradkar, General & Family Physician
