How To Interpret Chest CT Scan Results?
I just got the results of my chest ct it is a follow up for bronchiectasis that was previously diagnosed...on the ct it says I have signifigant bronchietatic change associated with crowding of the bronchovascular markings, what does this mean...I won t be seeing my specialist for another 2 weeks

Bronchiectasis is an irreversible diffuse lung condition where the smaller airways are dilated (enlarged) and in some cases small cysts are formed at the terminal ends (cystic bronchiectasis). This is a chronic condition and further progress of the disease can be controlled with medications. It is important to know your lunbg function tests while interpreting your CT scan chest. It is best to stop smoking and avoid exposure to dust.
