My partner has had a sperm test and although it returned as normal, it also states that agglutination is present. in total he has 17% normal spermatazoa?? so does that mean there is a chance I may fall naturally? his total sperm is 28million and he has 51% motility with moderate forward motion? what are our chances?
Your partner report suggests decreased sperm motility and borderline low number of sperms with normal morphology. Motility of sperms should be at least 55%.You have 51 % motile sperms.
Morphology of sperms is normal.Only 16% normal morphology sperms is required for natural fertilization. You have 17 % normal morphology sperms. It can be consider towards normal lower value.
28 millions/ml sperm count is normal.Normally sperm count should be at least 20 millions/ml.
Your partner need proper clinical examination and further investigations. He need routine hemogram,RBS,colour doppler of scrotum.
He should take nutritious diet and do exercise. If low motility persists then assisted fertilization techniques like IUI can be considered.
