General & Family Physician, Dr. Varinder's Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Next step is CT scan abdomen. Your husband should undergo tests, such as serum albumin, serum bilirubin, SGOT, SGPT and serum alkaline phosphatase. If these are normal, then repeat scan after 3 months for comparison to know how the cyst is behaving, whether it's the size is increasing or not. If increasing, then it needs removal by surgery.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
