Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am getting a diastolic of below 80. Today it was 119/65 on 10th Dec 111/59 pulse 52. I am on medications to reduce blood pressure, I also watch my food intake only prepared at home with adding salt and taking vitamins & supplements. I am hoping to be free of medications (Prescribed Drugs), as I believe that all so called medications have side effects.
Hi! Your blood pressure is well controlled with drugs. Not being aware of your age, medical history and medications, I can not give you more specific advice. I will not disagree with your belief that all medications can have side effects in some patients. But it is more important to keep the blood pressure controlled. If, lifestyle modifications alone can do that, it is good. Unfortunately, they alone can control blood pressure in a small percentage only and most people require medications. Trust I have answered your question.
