Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my doctor wants my BP to be around 130, i am normally higher. I hhave taken my medication today and my BP is106/55 which seems very low. It is mid day nd i took my medication about 3 hours ago. I am supposed to check it before medicating in the morning before 9am. I forgot Is this level ok
It is good to keep the pressure low to avoid heart damage and atherosclerosis. Although it is true that the pressure you mention can be classified as low, but also this is relative.
You have to take care about how you feel. If you tolerate it well, or not, since if you do not have any discomfort I would have to rule out that it is not a measurement error. If Blood pressure maintains at this level, it would be advisable to increase the doses a little.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Jose Mero Santana, General & Family Physician
