Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
If you have decreased simple carbohydrates and overall calories without any success the last time, it would be a good idea to make sure there are no metabolic abnormalities such as
thyroid disorders or problems with
glucose tolerance. So I recommend consulting with your doctor about these tests if you haven't already. Also, some medications can increase one's appetite as well as weight gain, so if you are taking any medications or supplements, the possibility of weight gain from these should be considered. While increased activity is recommended for overall health, it doesn't contribute significantly to weight loss for women. A good
weight loss plan is to gradually eliminate simple carbohydrates: These include sodas and other sweet drinks, things made with white flour such as pastries, white pastas, white rice, white breads. Decrease overall, the intake of non-complex carbohydrates such as breads in general. Increase vegetables (all types). Fruit is ok too, but the food type to increase the most are vegetables. Fish, poultry, beans and legumes are good for protein. Walnuts contain healthy fats and are fine in moderation. So without the advantage of being able to take a more thorough history and do an exam, these are general recommendations for you to start with. Losing weight and keeping it off can be difficult, but can be done.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
