Hi, I had gone through your query and understood your concerns.
Sir, the blood sugar levels of FBS 95 and Post meals of 140 are normal. You need not worry much regarding sugar levels as of now. But as your parents are diabetic, you have the risk of getting it. You can prevent or delay it by proper diet and exercise. Follow these guide lines:
* Avoid single high concentrated meals. * Small frequent meals more times in a day. * Food high in fibre content like vegetables, whole pulses, fruits, etc. Ideal combination of diabetic diet should be:-- Carbohydrates: 55-60%. Fat: 30%. Proteins: 15-20% (0.8g /kg /body wt). Fibres 40 g/day.
Exercise like 20-30 minutes of walking daily should be part of your life style.
Hope this guides you. Thank you.
