I am 36 weeks pregnant. My glucose level is fluctuating continiously. I can t control it even with diet. When I eat food with having glucose, the level was very high up to 150 and when I eat food without glucose content the level was low up to 90 and after 8 hrs test I found the level down to 34. Will this be a critical and how can I control this please advise me. My age is 37 years and this is my second baby. Thank you Nilu
First of all, congratulations on your pregnancy. Your glucose levels are absolutely within normal range. The values of 150 and 90 are normal. However, 34 is very less. Please do not worry about your glucose level. You should eat regularly and on time. I do not see any problem with your glucose level. You are perfectly normal.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shanthi E., General & Family Physician
