How To Overcome Dependance On Restoril?
Hello, It is Friday evening 8/08/14. Taking Restoril for 2 years. Every time I try to quit, at the 48 hour point my heart begins to feel as though it is congestive and I can not breath. Feels frightening and may have potential to be deadly. Do I need professional help?

Restoril is a powerful hypnotic benzodiazipine which has strong sedative properties.If you quit it cold turkey,you are going to have severe withdrawal symptoms.Way to go ahead is to taper the drug gradually.
Omit 20% of the drug every 3-4 weeks.This way you won't feel much symptoms although it would take many months.
