Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 64 yr old veteran . I have been told I have a depressive disorder after being deployed to IRAQ an losing two members of my Plt. I lost a Son to the Gun vilonce in July 1st of 2015 . Each day as it gets closer to his Death Anniversary gets harder. What do I do.
I think, you have adjustment disorder. In that case, only antidepressants would not help you. Along with Lexapro, you can try lifestyle modification like morning or evening walk, try to spend time with a family member. Rest, you can discuss it with your doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Iven Romic Rommstein, General Surgeon
