How To Prevent Bacterial Vaginosis?

Hi I have been diagnosed twice with bacterial vaginosis I get horrible pelvic pains. Got one recently in May but doc stopped medication halfway as I had to undergo kidney stone surgery . Do I need to start treatment again . how do I prevent infections in the future. Thanks.

yes : you can start medication again But before starting the medication take the culture of urine or high vaginal swab to know the nature of the bacteria and its sensitivity to antibiotics
It is also common due to poor local hygiene and more common in diabetes patient ,I'm sure you have check your blood sugar level.
How to prevent
-Avoid baths with foamy soaps.take normal water shower with standing
-clean yourself from front to bottom rather than opposite way.
-Avoid using tissue papers,because sometimes make foreign body to give rise infections.
