Hi,

After reading your query it appears to be Pediculosis of scalp area.

Both you and your father has the same problem. You look out for any other family member or any close contact person affected from the same.

You can apply Permethrin 1% lotion in scalp properly for 24 hours or alternatively you can apply Ivermectin lotion for 1-2 hour.

Take out all the nits which are actually visible as capsules in your hair. A reapplication would be required after 1 week of period.

Do not try to scratch your scalp area as it can lead to secondary infection. I suggest you to take antihistamine tablet such as loratadine once a day

Take care
