Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am suffering from influenza, with the onset 5 days ago. We are expecting guests in 3 more days in our home (not stay in our home). I don t know if they have had the vaccine this year or not? If they have, is it safe to welcome them to our home? If not, probably not?
After 3 days the viral load will probably decrease and there are less chances of spreading to your guests. Make sure you just stay little away while talking. Wash hands with soap regularly. Keep a handkerchief with you always and close your mouth and nose with handkerchief while you sneeze. Avoid handshakes and kisses. Use mouth wash thrice a day. Guests should be welcomed heartily.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Suhas Chauhan
