How To Prevent Recurrence Of Graves Disease With Hyperthyroidism?
Hi, thank you for posting. Well, there is the possibility of the recurrence of this disease and you can prevent it. The symptoms of this disease are: -Weight loss, and increased appetite. -Sweating. -Tachicardia. -Weakness. -Anxiety. -Muscle ache. When Grave disease recurrences you will notice exoftalmia(swollen eyes). To control the syndrome s status you need Scintigraphy test, to see the condition of thyroid. You should also check T3 and T4 hormonal level. The result will determine the dosage and the period of using Propylthiouracil that you ll have to use in case of recurrence. If this treatment fail, then you ll need a surgical procedure of thyroid. *Contact your endocrinologist. All the best. Dr. Behar.
