I have had a terrible sinus headache for a few days to the point of making it hard to stand. I've tried every remedy and then finally I saw that they say to try a Xanax which I have .5 mg of I took it about 3 hours ago and it didn't help then my husband gave me some NyQuil and without thinking I took it before checking if it's ok to take. I'm already a anxiety type of person so I want to make sure i will be ok

Hi Xanax is an antianxiety drug which you should take only with an advice of a medical practitioner as it causes dependance. For sinus head ache you should have a nasal decongesant, local by nasal spray like xylometazoline or oral medication like pseudoephedrine. In additional you might need antibiotic if there is infection. If not getting relief from that you need to take xray examination of sinus and need to do a sinus puncture and drainage by ent specialist. For relieving from current symptoms temporarily you can take a mefenamic acid plus paracetamol tablet and can have a otrivin(xylometazoline) nasal spray.Better have a consultation with ENT specialist. Hope this may help you thanks
