How To Prove Innocence For Presence Of Cocaine In A Hair Follicle Test?
I just took a hair folicle test and failed for cocaine but hav nt used in a lil over 10 months.the only prescription i have used in ten months are diffrent heartburn med s and a Z-pack for strept throat whats goin on and how can i prove my innocence, thank you
Hello and welcome to Healthcare Magic. Thanks for your query.
I'm sorry to hear that you are going through a difficult situation. Hair follicular drug tests are usually very specific for the drug being screened for. Such drug tests are designed to identify the specific drug molecule or its specific metabolites. The rate of false positives for hair follicle tesing is generally very minimal.
So, other prescription medication are unlikely to cause a false positive in the drug test. If you have a discrepancy in the test results and believe that it is a false positive, I would suggest you to discuss this issue further with the doctor who ordered the drug screen.
Wish you all the best.
