How To Put Protruding Ribs On Upper Right Side In Place?

I have 3 ribs out of place on the upper right side. They have been out for a long time and every time the chiropractor puts them back they come out again. I was told that wrapping them will not work due to my breast. Is there nothing else that can be done, or are they going to be out for the rest of my life. I am in a lot of pain

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You are suggested to get clinically examined by an Orthopedic. Get the required blood and imagings tests (X-Ray, CT / MRI) done to detect the pathology (factor) causing you discomfort. Since you are in pain you can take Combiflam, one SOS with antacid to feel better. Breathing exercises, chest expansion exercises under a physiotherapist is effective. Hot and cold compression, stretch & rotation exercises with NSAIDS brings relief. Avoid strenuous activity. Your treatment will depend on the pathology detected, you may need surgery.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
