Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 6 years old have headaches, fever, and red eyes. What can I do to lower the fever. I gave her Tylenol every 4 hours and the fever keeps coming back. She was 101. 3 this morning and tonight her fever went up to 102.9. Should I take her to the emergency. She Only ate this evening and I have been making her drink lot of water.
Persistent fever is mostly due to some sort of infection. For treatment you can give her some antibiotic preferably cefadroxyl or moxikind-cv after an expert advice along with syrup calpol or syrup nimol-plus every 6-8 hours for high grade fever. Do cold sponging to reduce the temperature of her body. It will take some time to recover so don't worry much.
