How To Reduce Numbness On The Tongue After Taking Cyclobenzaprine For Muscle Spasm?

I recently had a neck sprain, and it only got worse. I went to see the doctor, and he said I have a muscle spasm in my neck, that made my shoulders and neck hurt. The doctor prescribed cyclobenzaprine, and it makes my tongue numb. What can I do to not feel this way?

Numbness of tongue is a very rare side effect of cyclobenzaprine. Usually it causes weakness of muscles as a side effect. But if you are having much trouble with numbness of tongue, I would suggest alternatives like chlorzoxazone for muscle sprain.
Do discuss about the above options with your doctor before making a change. Hope the above information helps. Thanks.
