How To Reduce Oedema Around The Dorsal Aspect Of Wrist Joint?
I had a fall from bike yesterday night and landed on my hands but left hand took more shock of impact and is swollen from then. Xray is normal, any treatment for reducing oedema around the dorsal aspect of wrist joint ? And I m unable to completely grasp my fist tightly. Please help!
I have studied your case and I think you are lucky to escape from a fracture as this area is very sensitive for fracture. I have following suggestions for you. 1. Compression bandage to wrist to take care swelling 2. Voletran ointment local application 3. Tablet Brufen for pain and swelling 4. Do not massage or rub any thing .Ointment should be gently applied. 5.Do not keep your wrist in hanging position for long time. Also keep moving your finger. Sometime splinting is needed with the help of plaster. I hope these steps will be useful for you. Let me know if there is any other followup questions. thanks
