Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My wife age 32is havin severe pain in lower abdomen since last two days. She is adminstered meftalspas and aciloc 300. But the pain is subsidice only for few hours after taking meftal. She had also her period during this. Plz suggest the proper diagnose.
As per my clinical experience, the pain lower abdomen may be from various possible reasons as: - Intestine colic or spasm - Stone in ureter or kidney - Ovarian pathology as cyst or else - Pelvic inflammatory condition - Appendix inflammation if right lower quadrant pain - Constipation related issues - Others
My guidelines at present: - Allow her more liquids intake - Dietary precautions with high fiber to get smooth bowel evacuations on a regular basis - Addition of diclofenac for better pain control
Discuss need of ultrasound examination of the abdomen and pelvis with your doctor during next scheduled visit.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
