How To Reduce Sweating And Abdominal Bloating In A Type 2 Diabetic?
my stomach is large , it looks pregnant. otherwise my weight is appropriate. i have type 2 diabetes well controlled. i also sweat excessively on regular basis for short 5 minute periods, my scalp and body will be wet. I am done menopause. any suggestions?
Hello and welcome to HCM, Large abdomen could actually be due to central obesity. Central obesity is common in patients od diabetes mellitus. It is a risk factor for cardiovascular diseases. Thus, you need to monitor your blood sugar and body weight. Excessive sweating could be due to disturbed hormone level after menopause. Menopause is characterized by fall in estrogens and this can lead to hot flushes, sweating, anxiety etc. I suggest you to consult your gynecologist for clinical assessment, relevant investigations and thus management with hormone replacement.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
