HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, because of the poor posture in sleep it may not cause any swelling but of course cause pain and restricted movement, if you do not have such symptoms then this may not be due to sleep, it is advisable to rule out the real or pure swelling because if this is not swelling then applying any thing locally wont work here, swelling always associated with tenderness to touch, pain, fever, fatigue, if such symptoms are not there then this might not be swelling, in my opinion clinical observation is must in your case, hope this information helps, take care.
