My son was hit by a rebounding basketball that hit the rim and bounced off hitting him hard in the face. His upper eyelid is extremely swollen and he can barely open that eye(a tiny slit) We have been icing and ibuprofen but he has a big dance tonight and is miserable...any way to get his eyelid swelling down beyond ice?
Hi, It seems that there might be having hematoma on eye lids causing swelling and unable to open eye. It is difficult to bring down swelling down within this short period. Apply ice pack for 10 minutes, 2-3 times a day. Go for anti-inflammatory medicine. If require go for one antibiotic medicine course. Ok and taker care.
