I am a multiple myeloma patient in the grade 3a and i want to ask about how to reduce the blood viscosity by medecine and food the plasma vicosity is 2.73
Hello,
High viscosity in myeloma is usually due to the activity of the disease (the "bad" plasma cells produce large quantities of abnormal proteins); so the best bet to reducing that viscosity is by adhering to the drug plan for it. Dexamethasone (or prednisolone), melphalan, thalidomide are some of the commonly used myeloma-specific drugs.
Take care.
