Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My mother s creatinine level has increased to 7.4 and she has fever attacks twice or thrice in a day at certain time. we have checked for all the possible issue but the reports are coming fine. Its just that her creatinine has increased too much and she s become weak as she is not eating much and also advised bybthe doctor not to eat much. Though she has no other issues like lever pain, vomiting, not even with urination. Currenty she is admitted to Hospital where we have started the treatment but we would like to have an opinion with a nephrologist. we are constantly checking on the reports.and we have done urine culture, typhoid, sonography, x.ray chest P.A.
How old is your mother? Is she diabetic? hypertensive? Fever like malaria or enteric fever or tuberculosis or hypovolemia or underlying chronic kidney disease with acute on with fever may cause elevated serum creatinine levels.
Until we know the cause like pre-renal or renal or post-renal causes it is difficult to say what it is. Please consult your nephrologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Penchila Prasad Kandikattu , Internal Medicine Specialist
