Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a really sharp pain in the front of my right thigh for about 1 week i play soccer and can barley run fast or take big strides also when i kick the ball a spark of pain clicks. My thigh looks a little raised more than my other one and has bumps in it it feels like. I can barley run or play soccer anymore and i want to know if its something serious to worry about or just rest and itll go away soon
You must have sprained your muscle or suffered a cramp, nothing serious and nothing to worry at all. Give your leg rest for about 2-3 weeks, apply ice packs to the affected thigh for now and do not indulge in any activity that involves strain or pressure.
Speak to your team physiotherapist who will also help you to warm up before each game or practise session, to help avoid such recurrences. Stay well hydrated before, and through the games, thats all.
Best wishes.
