How To Regularize Bowel Movements?

My 14 yr old daughter has had bowl problems for a few years now and has tried high fiber foods and benifiber and such with no luck, now she has gone 3 weeks between bowl movements and pain on left side. also the stool is VERY large and unflushable( that is her norm though). Should I be concerned that the bowl movents are getting fewer and farther between?

- Check that she is chewing the food thoroughly ( most vital and most
neglected among this age group )
- Plenty of liquids with high fiber of green leafy veg , whole grains , cereals
pulses , legumes .
- Bulk forming laxatives give good results .
- Regular walking , exercises , YOGA are vital .

- Do not allow her to rest for 3 hrs after meals .
- Avoid all dairy fat , excess junk foods , ghee , butter till possible .
- Evaluate her once with general surgeon to rule out any other underlying
possibility of other motility related disorder .
