General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

There are various reasons for the irregular periods as:
- Multiple ovarian cysts or polycystic ovarian syndrome
- Adenomyosis
- Endometrial hyperplasia
- Uterine fibroids
- Endocrine disorders
- Premalignant or malignant conditions
- Side effect of certain drugs

The management guidelines depend upon the underlying cause. Kindly share your lab reports and ultrasound examination report with your doctor for further diagnosis and treatment.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
