I'm having problem about my menstration. I was having my regular period for the past few years but the last two months I did not have my period yet I'm worried about it. what could be the problem? what medications should I take for it to be regular again? I'm 18 yrs old and I'm not sexually active. please help as soon as possible.
Hello, thanks for writing to HCM. Menstrual irregularities have a variety of causes- commoner are stress, illness, thyroid imbalance, polycystic ovarian disease, crash dieting/weight loss/gain. I would suggest you see a gynecologist who can get the required blood tests and a pelvic ultrasound to see if there is a specific cause and start medication. Do not worry, menstrual problems are very common but avoid taking medicines without a doctors opinion. Hope I have answered your query. You can write in again if any doubts persist. Bye.
