How To Relieve Crusty Eyes Caused By Taking Tarceva?

I have Stage 4 lung Cancer, and changed my Meds to Tarceva. Since I started taking Tarceva I have crusty painful goopy eyelids ,that won't open until I pry them apart. Any suggestions to pry open eye?? I've used eye drops that are OTC and prescribed by Dr, .?

Tarceva contains erlotinib which can cause dry eyes and inflammation of eyelid.
For your painful goopy eyelids i would suggest lubricating eye drop like hydroxypropyl methylcellulose eyedrops thrice daily in each eye .
