Does Effect Of Tarceva Ween Off With Continued Use?

I m 64 and was diagnosed with NSCLC 9 YEARS AGO, STAGE IiiB. iT HAS GROWN VERY LITTLE AND IN PLACES IT HAS RECEDED (i M ON tARCEVA) i M WONDERING IF THE tARCEVA EVENTUALLY STOPS HELPING. i HAVE NO REAL SIDE AFFECTS. i GENERALLY HAVE A GOOD ATTITUDE.

dear patient.you asked a very good question.you have been taking tarceva since a very long time and i am glad to know that it is working well and you dont have any side effects. and your cancer is receding.see tarciva is the best first line drug for you,and since its been working ,there is a high possibility that it will continue for good. even though very rarely if the cancer starts to grow your doctor can use radiotherapy along with tarceva combination to get it on right track.
You have a very good attitude and sometimes it is this attitude which is needed in cancer treatment to get going.
