How To Relieve Pressure In Abdomen And Lower Abdomen Pain?

hi, my wife found out she has gallstones today but she is in severe pain in her lower abdomen area and experiencing a pressure feeling. She said the top of her thighs are in pain too. Could they be related? Is there anything i could do for the pain to be relieved. The doctor we were referred to cant see her for 2 weeks. Thanks, Chris

Hello,
Welcome to HCM.

Your wife's lower abdomen pain could be related to gall stone but I would say it is not related to upper thigh pain.

She must have undergone ultrasound abdomen indicative of gall stone with routine blood works and liver function tests. If these tests are not done until now, then she must go for.

Meanwhile she can take over the counter pain killers like diclofenac 100 mg with paracetamol 500 mg twcie daily and antacids like pantoprazole 40 twice daily for her lower abdomen and thigh pain.

She will further need to consult general surgeon for more advise.
