How To Relieve Skin Rash And Dizziness Caused By Hexine Lice Shampoo?

Hi, I recently used hexine lice shampoo which also happens to contain lindane. Since I didn t know anything about it but my sister let me use it I applied it on my whole skin of my face. For almost 4 days I got a serious skin rash all over my face with big fat red spots everywhere. I also felt dizzy from time to time but am not sure if that comes from the sun or from the cream I used. What shall I do?

Hi,

It is an allergic eruption or allergic dermatitis secondary to shampoo.

As first-line management, you can apply betamethasone lotion or cream for symptomatic relief.

If symptoms persist better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
